WESTERN JOSHUA TREE

THC is at the forefront of the effort to spearhead new Joshua tree restoration techniques in the Mojave Desert. We work closely with the California Department of Fish and Wildlife to grow Joshua tree seedlings, plant, and monitor. We experiment with techniques such as: grazing, invasive plant removal, and out planting. We also prioritize saving land with Joshua tree woodlands present, as well as historical Joshua tree woodland areas, and climate gradients where they may move in the future.
