California Naturalist Course: Introduction to the Mojave Desert
This 9-week long certificate course will be offered in Spring of 2025 to registrants 18 years of age or older who are interested in learning about their environment. No previous experience is required. Register by Feb. 25th, 2025. Limited to 20 participants.

Painting with Plant Extracts
In partnership with Transition Habitat Conservancy, Drawing Together will host an all ages art workshop to learn and create. Participants will learn about local plants and how to extract pigment from them. They will also learn about the importance of planting natives and avoiding invasives. Materials and instruction will be provided.

Drawing Endangered Animals

The Wildlife of Portal Ridge and Beyond
Expert camera trappers Johanna Turner and Dan Potter will be publicly presenting their combined wildlife experiences in the field. They will share their images and knowledge of Portal Ridge and other areas in Los Angeles County. They have extensive knowledge of what happens in the San Gabriel Mountains and desert foothills when the sun goes down!
